Up for sale is a diesel hood blanket, it comes with some of the fastening rods but not all. In nice shape just a little dirty.

Price 50 shipped or 40 picked up in pa.

This is already moulded for the Mk2 Hood right? Where is the VW Audi P/N stamping?

Yes it is originally molded/cut to fit the bottom of a mk2 hood. Now the press is losser yet still hangs and fastens as it should.

As for part number I went and looked and could not find one.... A little weird cause my 1986 Jetta wolfsburg diesel coupe came with one originally from the factory and it still has it.

My 85 has the same blanket, but also lacks the part number. Sorry to but in, I just thought I'd mention that. GLWS.

The part number is spray painted on the blanket, over the years it wears off.
    It is an OEM piece.

This will work with basically any engine right? I have a 16v so I'm just making sure.

It will fit the hood for sure with it being a mk2. Yet, worst case it might rub the intake manifold a little but I really dont think it will. I personally have never tried, but over the years i have seen them on other mk2's other then diesels.
