This turned out to be a dead acceleration pedal, picked one up cheap at a junk yard just to try, car starting boosting like normal again. Hope this solves your problems as well!

    Hey guys,

Was just on the highway the other day, went to accelerate and had no boost, only vacuum pressure. I can still drive the car no problem, it's just very slow as it only goes to 10 in-hg vaccum, EPC light came on, and eventually CEL. Here are the codes I pulled with Vag-com (fully licensed):

Car Desc: 1.8t, Unitronic 630cc BT file without MAF, s256 turbo, stock 1.8t throttle body

    18041/P1633

    18047/P1639
    http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...7/P1639/005689

    My procedure so far:

    1. Pedal Assembly - Pulled 6-pin plug on top of accelerator assembly, no signs of corrosion or anything of that sort. I tapped the line to the 6 pin adapter when I had a WOT box hooked up to it - took electrical tape off, cleaned it, put new tape on. Plugged back in.

    2. Cleaned throttle body

    3. Cleared codes, ran throttle body adaptation, everything checked out ok.

    4. Checked out bank 062 for percentage readings:

    No throttle:

    Full Throttle:

    5. Start car, EPC light back on, code 18041/P1633 back immediately

Any help here? Is my pedal dead? What else can I do? I miss boost!

    Thanks in advance!

    Jonny

1- 060 is throttle body adaptation on mk4's

2- check rear o2 sensor wiring for shorting.

Yes I know 060 is for that, thank you though - didn't think to check the o2 sensor, saw that on the wiki page, as well - will have a look tomorrow

fix that line that you cut for the WOT box with a quality crimp connector from 3m

co worker did the same on his new tundra. Same problem, same code. I fixed it by repairing the wire for the throttle body.

Problem is I never cut that line! Sorry it wasn't more clear in the first post, I meant that I only tapped it - it's rewrapped now with new electrical tape, any other ideas? I'm guessing at this point it is actually the accel pedal sensor

You said you checked the REAR o/2 wiring... Hows the front?

It doesn't matter if you only tapped it, if one wire got cut it will screws things up. . Just cut the wire and use a quality connector. My co-woker just "tapped" his wire too and then taped back over it.
