Are you running the proper wiring for those lights? and also did you code them?

Hi, I have recently installed a pair of HELLA LED tail lights for my MKV R32 and there is a yellow indicator light showing in my dash board telling me that both my tail lights are not working, but they are working. I was wondering if anyone else who installed these tail lights had this same issue and if they did, how did they manage to solve it?

What DarkNeo said. In my experience, the actual OEM LED tails, when wired properly, can be run with all of the "bulb checks" enabled and you won't get warnings.
In fact, a small portion of one of my turn signals or outer red ring is actually intermittent, and even THAT doesn't trigger the bulb warning.
If you are using hack harnesses/etc, that could cause errors, I don't know. I did it the "Right" way and ran wires.![]()
I have installed most of the popular bolt-on mods for a 2008 R32, minus suspension work. I know a lot about electronics and car audio, and have experience with VCDS ("vagcom"). I'm a radar/lidar countermeasure enthusiast. I like track days, autocross, and US Highway 129. I love aural pleasure.

I am almost sure it is the wiring. The coding should be correct. I just do not have any idea what type of wiring problem it may be.

I have the OEM Euro LEDs and having the same issues...ran the trigger wire and what not, everything works, but rear fog and no amber turn signals.![]()

Search for "LED" in titles.

Above link is one example. In my experience, there is not one linear thread to guide you. You have to wade throught it.
One of the confusing bits is the schism between those who run wires the length of the interior (often called the "right" way) and those who either modify the wiring at the taillight or run a short adapter harness to do the same thing. This latter bit is sometimes called the ghetto way. I went the ghetto way.
It's been too long since I did it for me to guide you step by step. I'm happy with my amber turns, and no errors from these. I bought the trigger wire for the fog, but I've never run it to the main ccm.
