I just got my R32 cts SRI yesterday, i got it bolted on, no problems there! once i bolted the TB on the where it got scary! The main coolant line coming from the coolant housing to the radiator, litterally would have to go through the TB because the new TB mounting spot is almost right in front of it! here is a pic.........

well yeah.....i kinda had to? I replaced the plastic old stock intake mani for this HPA clone SRI mani. The TB(throttle body) was up at the back of the motor (stock), now its down in the front, which is where im running into this problem....

Possible solution......fabricate a flange to bolt to my SRI and weld a tube to it(to allow for clearance), bend it whichever direction i need, weld another flange to it the other end for the TB.......

    more input please

No I didn't think thermostat, I didn't realized you got a new manifold, just thought it was the intake!

Did you put an R32 intake on your 2.8L 24v? Just going by your profile.

You need to cut the tb and use a shorter bolt.

If you don't want to use the coolant lines to the tb don't use them, that is 100% fine.

Thanks to "JC@DouglasVW" simple but awesome suggestion, my problem is about 90% solved, just gonna have to wrap the coolant line with something to help prevent chaffing!

This was my simple quick fix.......

just need a new shorter bolt, nothing that fastenal cant help me with. EASY fix!

Check the internals of that clone manifold... People have reported "cast spatter" in the log or runners and if it comes off... Bye bye motor If there's cast debris remove it.
