Did you contact Giles or the diesel shop in Garner? You should also have some Bosch diesel shops closer to you, but the one in Garner is known to be good, as we've used them before.

(I saw your thread on NCDubs)

I've had to 'rebuild' mine several times since i've got my car. It's not horrible hard, just have to be patience and make sure you THOROUGHLY clean everything. I had a needle in one of my injectors break before while i retorqued the halves together. I never calibrated mine, just wanted it to run so i could drive the damn thing. Haven't had any problems for nearly 10,000 miles now. Couldn't get the halves to seat properly the first couple of times through. I also soaked all the parts in ATF over night just for some reassurance.

I just buy new nozzles for mine, and keep the existing shims. ~ $11 each.
Rebuilt ones are $30 w/ core exchange.

Vince's write-up, is right on track.

No. Just no. That's Prothe. Search his name. Stay away. I've seen stuff on his injectors...pure garbage.

Pay the extra money and get them from someone reputable.

i remember someone over on the homefront (vwdiesel) is running prothe injectors, and they start/run.. no word on the break pressures, or anything like that.. but they do run..

not saying they are a good option, cause i would only consider them if they were the last injector on the face of the earth..

either send them to a good shop and have them rebuilt, or follow the vince waldon write-up..
