    2013 Passat TDI Clicking at start up

    So we picked up a 2013 Passat TDI SEL two days ago. we are still under 250 miles and need to do some more easy driving for break in, but here is my delema,

    When starting the car first thing in the morning or after it sits for several hrs it has a clicking sound under the car for apx 5-6 seconds then it goes away

    Is this normal for the 2.0 TDI fuel system or could there be a problem going on. No CEL lights or problems with the car running it runs great.

    Just asking what you guy's think or know on this issue. Search didnt provide any help.

    Normal. There is another thread that discusses it that might have more info.

    IIRC, it is related to the AdBlue system calibrating. Normal.

    Yup, normal. Our 2012 and GeekDrew's 2012 all do it.

    I've never heard the startup noise you refer to but when I park it in my garage and get out of the car I hear a high pitch wine for about 5 seconds. I'm sure it's doing something that it needs to do, I just don't know what.

    I don't hear it at any other time probably because the ambient noise it too loud.

    Bet it's the fan continuing to run to allow for cool down...... or running the AD Blu as stated above.

    The high pitched sound is the motors on the throttle valves.

    Is this new for this engine over the TDI in the MKV or is it just extra noisy?
