I'm working with a 1000 watt amp and 600 watt 10" sub. Would it be ok to run the power wire 8 gauge to the terminal above the pedals labeled 30? It's the second one from the left and connects to the battery fuse block and read 110A. It's in the same set as the x75 wire used for the switching power used for aftermarket headunits.

It's SO easy to run a power wire into the engine back and directly connect it to the battery. The more connections you have, the greater risk you run of having issues with insufficient current and voltage drops. While it CAN work, I would go right to the battery and go that extra 2-3 feet (there's a gromnet right above the gas pedal that can accommodate up to a 0awg without modification)
