Not a huge fan of the wheels but maybe a drop will set them off. Also, pics of the girl? That's required.

Hey guys, I made a small thread a while back, but I'm doing a bit more now so I decided to start an actual build thread. I'm currently driving a 2012 Candy White base Golf 2.5L. This is it, day 1:
A week before, I had actually picked these up:
Professionally painted A4 wheels from Dubrix on the forums, awesome deal. I had to get some new tires, but I threw them on right after and went down to the Chesapeake:
And I gave it a wash right after:
The next step in the process came up almost completely randomly, when I realized RGB LEDs and controllers were inexpensive. I wanted footwell lights, and after running far too many wires - this was the result:
There are more lights to light up the rear footwells as well. I thought they came out awesome, they look even better in person.
Next, I picked up a golf ball shifter and dropped it in:
Past that, I have a fully shaved GTI bumper sitting in my basement that I'm waiting to get a grill assembly for, and that's going on ASAP. I'll take a few pictures of that down the line and post them up.
My next project is a bit on the edge, but when I get further with it I'll certainly update you guys.
The standard stuff I want to get done eventually:
-coilovers
-intake
-full exhaust system
-3SDM .05s
-amplified speaker system
-euro cup holders
-GTI style steering wheel (flat bottom)
x-golf shifter knob
-rolled fenders
-carbon fibre mirror covers, front lip, rear valence
-roof done in black vinyl
-GTI style rear spoiler
-LED headlights and rear lights
-metal pedals
-aluminum glove box handle
-euro switch
-euro storage bin
The personal projects won't be listed until I'm actually working on them, I want to keep most things a surprise. Cheers![]()

Yeah, I plan to pick up a different set as soon as I can afford them, but for the price these wheels look great. I'm going to try to get a better picture of them the next time I'm with a friend with a camera. The drop should help in any case
And the girl might be in some future pictures
Hopefully soon

I recycled the rear badges and threw this together as a temporary thing, not sure how I feel about it at the moment. Thoughts?
edit: better picture

The badging definitely gives it a unique feel. Still not sure about it though.
Give it a couple of weeks and see how you feel.![]()

So I decided to keep these wheels as winter wheels, and one needed repairing. I was already paying for the powdercoat, so -
Gentlemen, thoughts?
EDIT: I took off that golf badging on the inside too, it was too tacky for my taste.

Its your car so do what you want. But IMO that is an aweful combo of style and color at that height![]()
