State Farm seems to think my JSW is Golf (after previously listing it as a Golf R) according to their VIN registry.

They list the class type as 1B 30. Not sure what this means and can't find a description anywhere.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is it possible to get it properly recognized it as a JSW?

    Thanks!

I just added my JSW to my State Farm policy, and there didn't seem to be any problem.

I had a Golf R on deposit and my insurance company had it priced as a base Golf, cheaper than a GTI.

the class has to do with you, not the car. 1b is for pleasure use for ages 30-55. you should have received a paper insert with your policy in the mail that has all the class listings and what the letters mean.

as far as the vin, i think someone just typed in the wrong code. it shouldnt have any issues being listed as a jsw.
