So...I have come to the conclusion that digital pics suck. I miss having photo albums to look through and preserve for the future. I miss dropping off a roll of film, never knowing what you might get back. I decided to go back through all the pics I've taken since meeting my wife and print a ton of them...in chronological order. So I've got about 450 pictures to print. Any suggestions on who to use for the best price while still having good quality that won't fade too fast?

    Costco

Honestly, I don't know, but I'd like to know too. I'm a Costco member, but not everyone is interested in that route. Hope you get better answers here!

    MPIX

This is where we recommend all our clients to print from. I would NEVER go to Costco, Wal*Mart or Walgreens unless you don't really give a (insert explective) about how your images look.

I dare you to show to a client two identical images one from MPIX and one from Costco and see if they can spot the differences. I guarantee they cannot.

If you just want a crap ton of shots printed up, go for wherever is cheapest. Some online printers will have $0.01 print sales. Watch for those.

I've actually had really good results with my local Costco, it helps that the people working the printer know wtf their are doing! You can also download the printer profile for your particular Costco and particular printer they will use to print your pics, I think their profiles are updated regularly so you need to keep them current.
For printing 450 shots (4X6?) I'd definitely use Costco. You can even find 50-100 free 4x6 prints but otherwise they're pretty cheap anyway.
