You might not get it off without breaking it, ECS sells just the seal if you need it.

I was under the impression you need to get at it from underneath. As in partial removal of the rear part of the head liner.

I had to get my roof re-sprayed because my local dealer dropped the garage door on my rear roof and hatch. When i got it back the ******* tards never removed the base of the antenna to spray it properly. Too much work for them to correct a problem that was their fault. End rant-

    Hope this helps-

To remove the antenna you need to take down the headliner. It's a 19mm (I believe) nut that holds the antenna in place. Not a fun job.

you need to pull off the c-pillars (seatbelt bolts first) and the trim around the inside of the hatch to pull down the headliner enough to barely get your arms in there to unscrew the bolt. It is a pain in the ass.

I suppose if you put the gasket in some warm soapy water it will slide right over the base itself.....

Sorry for the craptastic cell picture. It looks as though 5 is a nut with a serrated washer m14 I believe. Also torque spec is 7 Nm 62 in lb. Accessible from inside only.

    Hope this helps.
