I had a 1:18 scale diecast of that car in that color when I was a little kid.

Or maybe you just plugged Durametric in and read where it indicates how many times the engine was started? I mean that only takes like 10 seconds to do and anyone can do it.
In any case I found this interesting:
$100k? Yeah I can see that being realistic. This car is going for more money than some of the 993 turbos but on the other hand it's a whole lot rarer.I have been informed that this is the only 1998 Riviera C2S in North America and also the only Riviera Cashmere combination 1998 C2S in the world.

Wouldn't surprise me if Seinfeld is in on this, actually.
Sweet, sweet car.

I think the interior is hideously mismatched to the exterior. C2S is a great car though. I'm shocked at the 100K bid. I wonder if its the low miles, the color, or both.

Seller is attempting to shoot the moon. Rock on brother best of luck, that car is worth high 40's on the very best day.
993 Turbo will always be worth more than a like-vintage C2S....no matter what the color.
And no, I don't believe the high bid is legit.

Agreed. On the other hand I stopped trying to make sense out of the air-cooled 911 market a while ago. The values are all over the place and as cars get wrecked, rusted, or "restored" certain models are getting rarer to find in original condition.
What makes the market even more confusing are the rick bankers, oil sheiks, and shipping magnates that will absolutely have to own a certain car and money is no object. They will pay whatever someone asks and it throws the market value completely off. Sure this certain car is going for a bunch but maybe it's because the buyer has a 8-figure checking account and simply doesn't care what the price is. On the other hand don't expect other 993s to go for anything near to this same price.

riviera blue with tan leather....no thanks.....make that leather light grey or black please. nice car, but not worth 100K imho. At the end of the day...its still a Carrera S.....not all that special and not as fun to drive as a narrow body Carrera.
