Two questions before I buy a bunch of maintenance crap:

    1) What is the size of the stock front sway for a 225? I've asked this before and bought what I was told (can't remember), but they fit like crap. Can someone give me a definitive size, is it 21mm?

    2) I count needing 9 pressure plate to flywheel bolts, but which specific bolts are they? I've looked all over ECS and MJM and can't find those specifically listed - every search I've tried leads me back to the FW -> crank bolts...

    Thanks all!

i went down the same path. there are officially 4 different sizes! Only 3 in the US though from my search. Multiple sizes available in same years Best bet is to take a open ended wrench and keep going down in size until it won't fit over the sway bar. Or just put on some R32 front sways at the same time.

Don't forget you need to either replace the front sway bar or cut out the plastic "squeekers" on the original sway bar and step down 2 mm on the bushing. If you don't do this the whole frustrating experience will have to be redone and you will still squeek over speed bumps etc MJM doesn't sell the smaller 19mm suspension techniques poly bushing you will need if you have a 21mm and cut out the squeeker. If you have a 23mm and cut it out you should buy the 21mm.

One other tip, on the driver's side throw the stock bracket away with the "hidden bolt" that makes this pain in the ass job even harder and replace it with the same bracket as on the passenger side, the best $9 you ever spent... oh also there are two differnt bushing, those with the rib in the middle and those without, if you get all new brackets with your bushings you won't have to worry about this..

Thanks for the advice, and to follow up, my quattro has a 17mm front sway (as personally measured by me), so I'll have to get a set. I can't figure out what my actual swaybar part number is, but Powerflex makes a 17mm set for $40. As far as I can tell from research, the FWD TT had a 17mm front sway. Sizing is all over the place, I wonder what was going on that sizing is such a pain to pin down...
