Thread: Polishing the Piano Black Finish

  1. 08-03-2012 02:54 PM #1
So not sure if you all have the same issue, but my piano black pieces on rear trunk lid and between the door windows were starting to get an insane amount of spider web effect. I took my polisher to them last night and was able to return them to a brand new like finish.

I was to the point of wanting to vinyl wrap them not too long ago because I couldn't stand the spider web look. Plus I had a bird dropping etching in the rear panel that was also removed completely.

I am not going to market the products I used. If you have the same issue PM me and maybe I can help give advise on how to correct the issue.

    Nice

But it isn't exactly a big secret, there is tons of information widely available about how to do paint correction/polish.. Not much to it as long as you have a decent DA orbital/pads and some compounds/polishes.

Absolutely no big secret. Technique and correct process/tools will get you results. But I wasn't sure that the same corrections would work on the piano finishes/plastics. Glad to know they do. Just trying to help out the CC crowd.
