hi ok i have a 2000 jetta vr6 unitronic chipped, the car is straight piped bought it off a guy with the epc light on, well anyways i used my vag com and i got the codes:

18047- accelerator position sensor (g79/g185) : implausible signal

18047- accelerator position sensor (g79/g185) : implausible signal

and then every once and a while i get the code of
17526- oxygen sensor heating open circuit.

do you think it could be the accelerator pedal? i already took apart the throttle body cleaned it out with electrical cleaner and it was in very clean and good shape in the first place and that didnt work. i am thinking its the accelerator pedal but dont wanna go out and just but parts i dont need for no apparent reason, the reason i was asking if the oxygen sensor has anything to do with it because it looks like a really really lousy job and has black electrical tape on the wires. would like advice on what it is. thanks

forgot to add its in limp mode and has 0 to none throttle response and flooring it will very slowly get you up to 4000 rpm and thats all

nobody has any idea? i just went to the source (vw wreckers) and got myself an accelerator pedal and installed it. same thing no difference, tried erasing the codes with a vag com and there still there. could it have anything to do with the o2 sensors??

I know it's been a while since you did your thread about the EPC
I just wonder if you fixed the problem, I am having the same problem with my jetta
If you have any information and want to share, would be really helpful
    Thanks in advance
