So I have this set of 16x7 and 16x8 RS's. From what I've been told 16" wheels will not clear the brake rotors/calipers. I stumbled across this thread, http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...ps-and-barrels
I'm think I may do this, covert them to 18" and run them on the passat, anyone know of any reasons why this will not work. They are redrilled to 5x108 for volvo fit-ment so i will need to run adapters, witch will make the centers sit further away from the hub, I'm hoping with that said i can run them . . . eventually, once i have 1800 in the bank

    You mean BBS not bss
    For B6 smallest rim is 16" .
15" will not clear the brakes.

Not only rim diameter is important , also offset of the rim.
as i said already 16" is a smallest diameter should be on the B6.
and you should look for more positive offset from +30 plus. all depending is your car lowered or you have it in plans. if you do your homework and search on this forum , you will find all information .

Assuming that you will be buying the rotiform conversion kit, I personally would just send them your faces and have them redrilled
    ???

With those Offsets they will stick WAY out, +11 and +28 is that after the 20mm adapters

you should buy them from mee

I would have them redrilled but they have been redrilled once I dont know if they can be redrilled twice. If I can get them redrilled I think I will.

and yes it would be +11 and +28 with 20mm adapters. What would be the best offset to run to have the wheels flush with the fenders, or maybe a few mm of poke

Heres what I'm going for, PS thanks to crisvr6

the hex nuts will be polished not blue and probably black and silver center caps or maybe red and gold

That pshop does look good, problem is those are at least 18's. So unless you plan on going thru with sending your faces to Rotiform I wouldn't bother. You're going to have a giant balloon tire on those 16's and it's going to look silly. Just sell them and get appropriate sized wheels.

if you had them re-drilled the offsets would work, but in my person opinion the conversions look odd with a small center then a massive lips making up the difference. But that's just my opinion. I would sell them and pick up a set of Super RS's change them the way you want and call it a day

I've been trying to sell them for almost a year now, even on volvo forums. the fact that they have been redrilled to 5x108 is making them super hard to sell

are they dual drilled? Or filled and plugged? Or what? What bolt pattern were they originally?

    Just curious.

pluged, they were 5x120, rs005 & rs006. I was thinking about getting them filled and redrilled again but I'm thinking thats not a good idea

Nice, I'm between getting them powder coated a tealish-turquoise or trying to match the interior color

Thats a nice looking photoshop haha. But I'm pretty sure if it was wheel that would be like a 19" or 20" RS.
