Massively blew a shift under spray, and with the current 75hp jetting. Well the room for error just wasn't there. The backfire blew the grill right off the car and flipped it up and off the windshield and onto the highway. Even bent the rad support out a bit.

Lost the rad, intercooler, and supercharger. Was making a tick tick noise all the way home, found a big piece of apex strip in the RSR outlet. I have a spare i/c and charger, current charger who knows how bad it is, have to get it apart first and assess the damage. Probably garbage though.

Now I'm wondering if I should go back down to a .035 jet instead of my current .041, or if it was purely missing the shift. And I mean I did blow the shift hard. I sprayed the 75 jetting last weekend, and it just sang. I was so happy with it. Now I'm just scared of it.

I've ran nos on a few VW oem management systems.... Jason has his first hand experience of nos on digifant 1 G60. This old system....developed in the late 80's has a tough enough time with just running some nice smooth linear supercharger boost period, after so many years in service. NOS and this system is a 100% recipe for a broken engine and engine parts! If you like your car broken, blown up and under constant construction, run some NOS on digifant. Just like 90% of turbos on this system it freaks out the ecuX2

By the way that's some impressive carnage!!! sorry for you loss but...just a little

4th year of spraying a few bottles every summer, and this is the first problem ever. But I don't usually miss shifts (not ever really), and with that big of a shot its was disastrous. The onus is on me here, not Digifant.

Still might take me awhile to fell confident enough to pull the trigger again. Probably downsize the shot anyways.

Is that from spoonfed tuning? Another local guy with a G60 Corrado was going to order us some shirts from them, but I haven't heard back.

I have been to scared to push the button again, I have smaller jets in it now so should be ok 50hp, the valve broke with a 100hp shot and 25 psi boost, man it was fast for a minute.

    Yes it is
Although he only made stickers of this design (which are already available in his webstore), no t-shirts of the grenade G60 yet but I'm sure its something he plans on doing soon

I'll remind him when I talk to him

Meh it's 8v and G60 what are you gonna do, break the bank in an attempt to make 200whp, or just do the standard stuff and get your 160-170whp and spray the shizza out of it. My wideband was showing I was nice and fat, AFR's are always in check under spray.

Anyways, I've made my bed. --->

Car is already half back together, I've got a freshly rebuilt charger on there now. But it's not ported. For now I left it stock, but put the 68mm on it. Over winter I want to re-do the paint scheme under the hood (ditching the grenade themed charger, for all satin black charger, i/c pipes, and red engine block, etc.) and I'll port the charger at the same time.

Yeah I was going to but I dont think he ever made the t-shirts.

BTW, haven't kept track but is your car back up and running after this carnage? Any bay shots? If you port it will you go 3 fin again?

I am probably going to have my engine out this winter and I might clean it up a bit before I ditch it in a couple years

Yeah I put it all back together, but now it's pumping oil out the breather. So I'm putting together a higher compression one, doing some head port work, and cleaning up the engine ebay (wiring and hoses mostly) Also going with a new colour theme.
