So i recentluy came to germany for a work related trip and have been loving it so far. tried to reserve a bmw 1 series for the week, but ended up in a MkVI golf TDi "match". the car is serious fun, and noticably faster than my MkVI jetta TDi. most notably at lpw rpm, or highway passing in sixth gear. im also thinking the golf is probably the mpst common car in germany. ill post pix of the trip up when i get back stateside.
ps - didnt realize u could get a 2.5 equipped jetta over here. aparently u can.

I would definitely recommend the trip, just went to the Nüremburgring today, and it was amazing. Was able to snag a free ride around the track with a great guy in a Merc C63 AMG...and he WORKED that car...it was the most intense driving experience I've ever had the privlidge of experiencing, and makes me soooo glad I didn't do a tourist drive of the track. I'd have done nothing but add traffic to the course. Totally recommend. Pictures when I make it back stateside!

Finally made it back to the states, and uploaded some photos. Hope anyone who's poked in on the thread enjoys.
I think this was a rental. The guy in the Corvette behind the ferrari actually REAMED this guy when they exited the track. Something about not knowing what the hell he was doing, and how he didn't need to be in that car, cause he wasn't much for driving anyway. give or take a bit.
This one was all carbon fiber, pretty slick looking bike.

Alright, back to the cars.
Got a ride in this one
And this is where they must store every Scion / Subaru BRZ that folks are waiting for stateside...they all have Toyota badges, so I doubt any will make it over here.

Many people enjoy eating apples and oranges, but in the end they are still… just apples and oranges. The R32 is passion fruit.. Live Long and Prosper.

I was just saying "those" cars aren't destined for the states, considering the Toyota name brand. I've got a co-worker who put in an order for one already, and his dealership has apparently only had 3 come in and be purchased already...so I found it funny when i saw 15 or so of them parked outside the ring...Was thinking "eh, maybe I should just take one of these back with me for him".
