Doing my intake valve cleaning today. I was following a DIY and was struggling to find the bolt for the support bracket, which was a PITA on my FSI. Apparently I don't have one. There is a spot for it to bolt to the intake manifold but I don't see where it would bolt to the engine block. I'm just wondering if the dealer left it off when they replaced the manifold or when they fixed the coolant leak. I also seem to be missing the plastic cover for the injector wires.

wait, what are you missing exactly?

I can see you are missing the black tray that the injector wires sit into, and that slid onto the tow bolts sticking out of the head. THat black tray makes everything a PITA to bolt up, but it protects all of the wires and such.
Call up your dealership and politely ask them to replace the part as it should help protect it.

I think there should be a support bracket that goes from the engine block to the bottom of the intake manifold. As described in the intake valve cleaning DIY (step #20) here:

    http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...Valve-Cleaning

"20. Remove the M10 triple square bolt for the intake manifold support bracket to the engine. This bolt is difficult to see. The location is below the intake manifold and behind the throttle body."

I got out my M10 triple square and found nothing to remove. Intake came off and there's no support bracket and I can't even see where one would bolt to the engine block.

The angle bracket at the bottom left of this picture is the part that you are missing.
There is a stud that goes into the bottom of the IM that the bracket slides on to.
I removed mine after the install as its not "needed"
