I just got finished doing a suspension rebuild today, so it's all fresh in my mind...I can't imagine what is causing that.

It looks like the top it pushed out, so I'm thinking maybe the lower control arm ball joint isn't connected, or the strut isn't inserted all the way into the spindle (?). Tie rod being too long might cause that too, but I'm not sure.

Make sure your wheel is actually bolted on correctly, too

The weight of the car would not bend those struts. There is something else going on.

Your wheels seated correctly? Are they pinned against the coil or collar on the top of the wheel? Does you wheel move unobstructed before you lower the jack?

    Just a thought

trust me, the ball joints being on the wrong sides isn't causing that. Ask me how i know that

i may have driven ~5000 miles with 1 out of 3 bolts holding each ball joint in and it just happened to give way in my neighborhood and not going 70 down the interstate.

No wheels are not pinned giants anything tey roll fine in N. I think I have them angled wrong in the tower... Any idea on how I should be doing this? I'm jacking up the control arm until it gets o the tower than putting the nut on, than the cup and last nut.

Take out that silver piece above the top hat, unless it's some aftermarket strut bearing.

Get oem ball joints. Id put money down that they are the issue.

Or maybe you installed them on the wrong side.

Then take it the fck out. Go back and look at that diagram again and build the strut exactly like the picture.

i believe that silver piece is referred to as a spacer and i'm pretty sure you take it out when installing aftermarket suspension. I was told to for my coilovers at least.
