How many foot/torque we're talking here?

Idiot driver, video has some swearing, perhaps NSFW for some
From Uploader:
I was walking around Soho, NYC today when I stumbled upon this Ferrari 458 Spider with a cop writing a ticket next to it. I started to record the situation because I thought it'd make a cool video, little did I know what I was in for. As soon as I started recording the owner of the car appeared and got in it. He slowly started moving since he refused to accept the ticket (the car was parked in a hotels valet zone and the hotel valet had the keys, I myself don't understand why the cop was giving him the ticket, it was approved by the hotel that the car was parked there.) The cop then told him to stop but he proceeded to move forward. Now at this point I believe the cops foot was under the front drivers side tire. Yet again the owner moved the car forward and apparently he somewhat ran over the cops foot (or at least that's what can be made out from everything in the video, others at the scene claimed otherwise.) This triggered the cop and he slammed his hand into the drivers window and proceed to open the door (notice how many times he bumped it into the taxi cab) and pull the driver out forcefully. The driver was then thrown on the ground and handcuffed and arrested. The owners girlfriend seen in the video is also Stephanie Pratt from the MTV hit show, The Hills. The car did suffer some damage, paint chips on the door from when the cop slammed it into the cab and some scuffs by the engine bay shown in the last scene of this video. Pretty crazy situation, I was definitely at the right place at the right time!"

Both are tards. Cop shouldn't have put his foot there, driver shouldn't have moved.

cops are tough guys in ny... everyone knows that... but the driver pisses me off more... so many entitled pr*cks there... glad to be out... 8 years was enough for me. don't get me wrong it's a great city but things like this ruin it for me.
and the dude in the background who has his iPhone out to capture something to bring him his 15 minutes of fame... don't even get me started.

No, the 458 driver should have not been a bitch and accepted the fact that if he wants to park like a egoistic pig, he has to pay the price..if he can afford the 458 he can afford the parking ticket..
Now he has some nice scratches to fix as well
And if it wasn't his, he's even more of a dumbass.

There's no way a guy that wears skate shoes and purple sweatshirt can actually afford a 458. Clearly bought by mommy and daddy.

I would expect nothing less from my lovely city. If the car was parked in the Valet Zone and the hotel authorized the cops to give THAT SPECIFIC CAR a ticket, then it's likely that guy did something for them to allow that to happen. That doesn't really make any sense for him to be ticketed in a valet zone. Either way, he shouldn't have tried to move if the cop is RIGHT ON HIS CAR. What an idiot. Cop should have let him go right on ahead and bounce. That ticket will find his mailbox and the price will only go up. IMO, if you can afford a Ferrari, you should be able to pay for a no-parking ticket.
EDIT- Noticed the "no front plate/inspection sticker" comment. That makes things add up a little bit more. Either way, two fools, and the bigger fool gotta pay a lot more then he did in the first place. Fail.

The driver had it coming, just pay it and move on. Seems like typical NYC in traffic, hot heads just waiting to clash on both ends.

I usually more pro-cop, but it sure looked to me like the cop intentionally put his foot in front of the moving tire. Obviously the Ferrari-guy shouldn't have tried to drive away, but just as obviously, if you stick your foot right in front of a moving car's tire, it's going to get run over.![]()

You do NOT try and drive away when a police officer is writing you a summons.
Where the cop was standing makes no difference. You take the ticket and fight it in court like a normal person.

That's what I saw as well. The cop was looking for an excuse to rip the guy out of the car.
The driver shouldn't have been trying to flee either, but as a driver you have a reasonable expectation that someone standing next to your car who knows you're trying to drive away isn't going to plant his foot in front of your tire.

It's a tactical move to block the front of a vehicle. When a cop walks in front of your vehicle and you hit him the charge is usually assault. Tons of people have been shot and killed when they moved towards a blocking officer. This tactical move always results in very bad charges or actions against the offending driver. Never every move your vehicle towards and officer unless he gives you confirmation through verbal or hand gestures.
