    Erratic Fan Speed Code and a Long Trip

    On my 05 Jetta with 2.5l I had a CEL code for erratic fan speed or something like that. The CEL has gone off but the passenger side fan (the smaller one) does not run even when the larger one is running. The larger one appears to be working a bit harder as well.

    The thing that worries me is that I'm driving about 375 miles to Vermont tomorrow, and driving back on Saturday. The CEL being off seems like a false sense of security. Can I make it up there on one fan? Should I not use the AC or just not risk it at all?

    Temp gauge is right in the middle all the time AC on or off.
