Can anyone reccomend a good external 40gb PS3 cooling fan? Mine overheated and killed itself again tonight after I just fixed it recently. Not looking to spend too much I just want something that works. All the ones I've seen online look pretty sketchy.

I just put my ps3 on a 1/4 inch 8X8 block of aluminum i had laying around.

most of the heat is on the bottom of the system, and the aluminum soaks a lot of it out

I think I read a review on one of the gaming sites on a few options and they found proper placement of the system is more effective than an external fan. Don't put it in a cabinet

I sent it back to Sony the first time it died and it died promptly 4 months after after very light use, I'm not going to waste another $100 . I think I'll just fix it again myself and put it on a laptop cooling station thing.

after noticing the heat after a game froze, i purchased a room sized air filter/fan and place the ps3 on its end and have the fan blowing at the bottom. no issues since. been 2 years.
