For the first time in 3 years, my car moves

on its own. It's still ugly and there's a lot of small things left to do but the motor starts, the tranny works and this things jumps!!!

I bought a half swapped mk2 vr6 in August 2009 with no experience with swaps or working on cars at all really. Half swapped is not correct, more like 1/4 swapped and I was told that all was left was electrical. The motor was in the car and the gear box was mounted and that was really about it. I did the pedals, electrical, put in the right k-frame, found out it was obd1, not 2 like I was told, changed the electrical again, got the motor running, found out the head gasket and clutch were blown, changed the motor out put on the 2.9 manny, and finally got it going.

It was frustrating most the way through and tried quitting like 4 times. But now it runs and it pulls really strong.

Thanks to Robins and Andy for the help. Still a ways to go but this was a big milestone.

Honestly I wouldn't have even tried it but reading all y'all's posts you make all this car stuff sound easy.
