Thread: 9A Intermediate shaft timing?

    So I'm about to put my timing belt back on, and I read somewhere earlier that the intermediate shaft needs to be set to TDC along with the crank and cams. If that is the case, Where is the timing mark on the intermediate shaft? I thought it worked regardless of it's timing... Bentley doesn't mention anything about timing the intermediate shaft.

    It does not need to be timed

    ^^^Correct...only 8v's need to have the intermediate shaft timed due to the fact that it drives the distributor
