I think I know the answer to my question but I just changed the oil on my wife's 2010 TSI 2.0T and over tightened the drain bolt. Now it gets loose then tighter but not really tight. Pan or the bolt stripped?? I put RTV gasket maker around it so it won't dump all the oil out only bout size of a quarter overnight. I figure it's the pan. Is it a steel or Aluminum pan? So any cheap fix suggestions?? I'm kicking myself for doing this!! My wife less than pleased to say the least!!!!

Your pan is steel and aluminum. The part that would have stripped is steel.

Need lower pan of part 31 and need part 32/gasket sealant for the pan. It can be fixed for under $200.

It can be done cheaper if you want to use a Time-Sert. This is an approved VW/Audi fix. Catch is its typically an Aluminum pan fix so it would be a lot hard to do it this way with a steel pan.

Edit: Added more information for addition fix for you.

Well I guess I'll just get a new pan. It looks like it will just drop out but it can't be that simple can it? Is there some sort of hidden gotcha that I'll encounter once I get under there? Or is it a simple drop and replace??

ECS has the pan for $51.

They also have the gasket for $28

I've been searching every where to see how difficult it would be to remove the pan. If it's a straight unscrew and drop I'm all over this. If I have to drop the sub-frame it's going to the mechanic.

Has anyone dropped the oil pan on 2.0T?

No the quickest & cheapest fix would be to get one of those tap and die kits specifically made for oil drain plug repairs.(Google it) Buy a torque wrench for future use. Then by a bottle of Red wine for “she who must be appeased”

If the threads aren't too bad a M14 x 1.5mm tap should clean it up, but you may still need to drop the pan to remove the metal filings. You would also need a good handle for the tap not hose crappy ones that come in the kits. If the pan is easy to drop then buy the pan because a good tap in that size and a good handle sourced locally will run you close to or more than $50 unless you use ebay.
