Thread: Yakima Fairing Size (w/ no Pano)

  1. 08-06-2012 10:12 AM #1
I'm trying to adapt as many pieces from my old GTI Yakima rack over to the JSW... I've cut my crossbars down to 48" and picked up some railgrab mounts. However, my old fairing won't fit between the rails.

What size fairing do you guys run? Looks like the 38" or 32" would fit, but I'd rather use the largest one possible... Any words of wisdom?

Bump for an answer. I also want to recycle my GTI rack.

I have a 44" fairing, but it rides on the rails. A 38" should fit just inside the rails.

Do you have a pic by any chance? I'm considering a fairing but I'm not sure how it will work with the pano.

If you have proper cross bars *cough WHISPBARS cough* then you don't need no stinking fairing.
