Thread: Late model bugs!

  1. 08-06-2012 10:52 AM #1
Looking for pictures of some cool late model bugs. Customized. Modified. Slammed and patina. Early bumpers fenders etc.

I tried this on the samba and got the usual "fat chicks suck" responses.

    Here's my 68:

    And my buddy Bryce's 70:

Lets see some fat chick love!

Thats a damn fine '77. Are those stock front blinkers? You just running wheel adapters or how'd you get to 5 lug?

I figure It's my car so I can do what I want. Plus everything is a bolt on, and the car can be put back to stock in just a few hours.

The front turn signals are 64-69 assys. I had some clear lenses in my stock assy's for a while. It looked OK but I still didnt like the size.

The 5 lug conversion is easy, and a bolt on again.
Front drums are from a 66-67. They bolt right onto the stock spindles and use the stock brakes.

The rear is a set of conversion drums from CIP1, Once again a direct bolt on using stock brakes.

My '72: '04 Ford Mustang Electric Green and Performance White, 1641cc, four wheel disk brakes, lowered spindles, removed and filled dash pad, steering wheel from a '65, black and gray interior, seats from a '95 Dodge Daytona on shortened Chevy Astro van rails. Fun little car but currently needs a fuel pump.

... I know... bad pictures of the seats and the car is stupid dirty... Eventually, I'd like to have the seats redone in just black and to get rid of some of the poofy look to them. Otherwise, I redid the whole car about ten years ago and still very happy with it!

I love this bug! My cousin had one that looked just like it when I was little, and I absolutely loved it. Same color and wheels and everything. That bug was a big part of the reason I own one now. Not that nice of course, but never the less, I have one.
