None of this matters unless you actually get into an accident.

It's good to be responsible and call you insurance company from time to time and shoot the #$%but if you are taking out your seats and call them they are going to red flag you for the hell of it.

Could you please explain to me how this could possibly matter in the event of an accident UNLESS there were more occupants than seats in thecar at the time.

    Thanks!

My comments were not intended to be directed at occupants or seats or whatever. You can use a personal car for commerical use with all the seats intact and that's still against your policy. You can put 6 people in your car with all the seats and that still could void a claim.

My comments was that if you are calling your insurance co because you took out the seats the only thing that will do is raise a red flag or cause a series of questions back to you.

I agree - that's why I called anonymously from a different number. I told her, "I'd rather stay anonymous", and she was fine with that. I asked, she put me on hold to ask, and she came back and said there is nothing to worry about.

Guys, I was thinking of folding my rear seats down. Will the CG change adversely affect the handling of my car? Should I just remove the front seats instead, and meander about town whilst leaned back , stunting, screaming out "Money ain't a thang!"?

Also, does the back seat make a noise if the pope ****s in the woods and nobody is around to hear it?

Also, I just got off the phone with progressive, and you DO have to adjust your policy if you're removing the seats for commercial use, but for personal use you're in the clear ( for those of us who care).
i feel like this needed to be quoted so the latest batch of morons can read it.

If he would have opened with the statement about commercial use instead of the seat removal, this thread would have been a lot shorter.

So what are you saying? Should he call his thread insurance company to see if it matters if he includes all relevant information in the first post rather than springing it on readers a few posts in? It totally changed the geometry of the thread.

Keep in mind though, he is transporting enterprise level infrastructure equipment, which I imagine looks like this:

Not sure how taking out the back seats will help make it fit any better.

First of all, I didn't know anyone offered thread insurance. Seeing how this is going for him, he probably should have asked about that.

I think if he would avoided the seat-removal question, a lot of "urretarded" replies would have been made.

At over $600 each, I don't blame you.
