I never knew anything was interchangeable, but recently have read of a few people using the parts from Golfs/Jettas. You will not have the tilt option though, if you go this route.

Ok cool. I dont mind about the tilt option. Open or closed is fine with me. This Sunroof "project" has been nagging at me waaaaay too long.

Golf/Jetta works.....the tilt is gone but you have to run the sunroof panel from the donor car. the bolt holes do not line up with the Scirocco panel....paint to match

I'm one of the people who did this recently.
Make sure you also get the interior cloth panel, too. It's a very easy swap, only takes about 1/2 hour to do the whole job. Once you are done installing the A2 setup into your s-rocc remember you may need to adjust the height adjuster screws.

Why would anyone do this? I couldn't live without the tilt feature.

If your sunroof assembly is screwed up and you cannot find another Rocco assembly, then the Jetta/golf roofs are more common and easier to find in most areas.
Old sciroccos never die....they just go faster....sometimes.......
