Well, I'm sure these pop up way too often.

2010 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition, 2.0 TSI, nothing aftermarket...

CEL popped on the other day when I noticed a long crank and threw out a P0302 code at me for a cylinder 2 misfire.

Since then I've changed the fuel filter (to alleviate the long crank, which it didn't...) and checked the plugs (which were just changed) as well as switched the coils for cylinders 1 and 2 to see if the error would follow the coils. After all this I'm sitting at square one as the issues still show up and I'm still throwing the code. Not really sure what the next steps should be. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm dealing with something similar. CEL/ECG. Scan showed misfire on 1 and 3. Plugs had less than 1,000 miles. So I changed the coils on 1 and 3. Cleared codes and rescanned. Misfire on 3. Took it to inde' mechanic, who said low or no compression on 3. I'm getting it flashed from Stage 1 back to stock today and removing the CAI for my trip to the dealer. I still have about 11K miles left on my powertrain warranty. So I figure if it's a valve job, it will be covered.
