I probably have an extra cluster laying around somewhere. The only ones you can actually remove are the tach and speedo needles IIRC.

All needles are removable. The gas and water temp gauge needles are very fragile, so you have to be very careful when removing them. I just changed out the ones in my Mk1 Scirocco when I did my new faces.

I have a few sets laying around that are air brushed florescent orange. Remember the Tach needles have different armatures than the speedos on all Mk1 and Mk2 cluster and are also interchangeable with Mk1 and Mk2. Also Porsche 924, 944, 928, 968 and some 911/912 needles can be used too.

Another aspect to the needles is that Motormeter cluster have different needles then VDO cluster and are not always interchangeable. So the only way to really know if they fit is to bring the cluster over and test fit.

Mk3 clusters all the armatures are the same so tach and speedo are interchangeable.
