Thread: Aux water pump help???

  1. 08-07-2012 06:17 PM #1
I have a 2001 beetle 1.8t my aux pump turns on in the winter but never turns on in the summer. I just changed the coolant temperture sensor and it still doesn't turn on. after reading so many blogs does the aux pump always turn on when the car is turned off. if so can anyone help me figure out my problem. If i put 12volt to aux pump it turns on. checked all fuses, tried to meter connector but i only jet 7.63volts not 12 volts tried a test light and still nothing at this point i am lost?

try this if u really need 12volts... sorry i didnt read much on it yet

take out the fuse that actually sends the voltages to the pump
and clearing out the fuse box with a sand paper or something...

make sure you are gettin 12 volts where fuse is suppose to be.

also i read that you can bypass the pump buy just replacing the pump with hose...

ill try to read on it tommorow again

    thanks
