So I have been calling vwoa for the past couple days and all i seem to be getting is the run around.
This person is busy or this person is gone for the day... Things like that.
Anyone else having this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

YES! We have had the absolute worst time with them. People in my office have heard both sides (speaker phone by their request) and every single one has commented on how rude and unhelpful they've been. Four more folks who will never buy a VW.

I gotta say I'm surprised every time i read one of these threads. VWoA always gets back to me right away during this whole window fiasco.

We've been calling customer care...still not getting any response. Regional case manager was supposed to be in contact with our dealer today, but we haven't heard from anyone. I talked to our case manager backup (although I seriously suspect this was just someone to try to placate me) on Monday, and he's the one that told me I would have to litigate to get any answers, restitution, etc.
I've mentioned the problems with VWoA to several people and am constantly told that it's surprising, that they don't treat people this way...but they do, and it's really disappointing.

It must be the vacation time theory. I have had a terrible time with them these past two weeks. My replacement car has been sitting at the dealer waiting for me to pick it up for over a week now. I called VWoA everyday trying to get in touch with my case handler. Same issues let me put you on hold and check, 3 minutes later, they are not in. Ok well can I leave a message? Leave vmail, wait 24 hours. Call back, leave vmail wait 24 hours.
Today I finally was called by my case handler (mediation department). I ask if my car is ready and he goes yes it has been at the dealer for over a week now. WHAT! Picking it up Monday morning... because they are completely inflexible on when I can pick it up.

I called vwoa again today (4th day in a row) still they won't let me speak with a supervisor
Or the regional case manager.
I can't drive my car anymore due to the windows letting the elements in and the ac being intermittent.
I'm dallying my 1992 golf, I paid 24k in full when I bought the car and I can't even drive it.
I'm extreamly upset with the way vw has been treating customer.
Can someone give me some guidance on what I should do?!
#12
While I can drive mine (as I have no other choice), I'm having the exact same experience.
I did just get a Customer Satisfaction survey. I'm sure it will go ignored just like the phone calls, emails, tweets. We sent our certified letter yesterday, so the clock is ticking on my Beetle, no matter how much I love it.

It seems like there are various issues with the windows. Are yalls windows not going all the way up after the 3rd attempt? So far at least I've been lucky with it not taking more than 3 attempts
#15
3rd attempt? Maybe the 33rd. I fight with them for about 5 minutes every time. I can't leave mine up, as I have to badge in and out of work parking lots (and grad school is about to start, so that's more badging in for me).
At this point, I'm way more upset with the way I'm being treated. I get lied to (no one is getting any restitution, they say), my dealer says they won't touch the car because there is no fix, VWoA tells me that they are months away from a fix, etc. I ask to speak to a supervisor and am told that the supervisor would tell me the exact same thing. Our case manager has yet to contact us after a week...initially I was told she was on vacation. I asked to speak to someone else - no one else can help me. Seriously? I go on vacation, too, but I have back ups.

My windows roll down by themself, I'm experiencing electrical gremlins due to the water damage.
My lock buttons only work sometimes, they blamed my fog lights being intermittent on my air Suspention. The ac is intermittent as well. It's not like I'm asking for much I just want to speak with someone other than the people that answer the phones.

Already have...the fact that the dealer won't touch it makes it a little more difficult. When I talked to the folks down in Austin, they said we needed to send a certified letter and VW has 30 days to respond. If they don't or we're not happy, we have what we need to file. (For what it's worth the Lemon Law folks were super nice.)
This makes me sick, though. I have always, always wanted a Beetle. I love every aspect of the car except the windows. And the customer service.

I had recently sent an email to VW Customer Care and received a call from them the next day wanting more information. The email concerned the lack of product knowledge by sales staff at VW dealerships. I had recently been told that the Beetle TDI was 2 years out. Noticed that the same dealer website had 1 in stock. Went to look and was told that VW does not MAKE a Beetle TDI even though they had 1 on the lot. In going to various dealerships I have become aware that I know more about the cars than they do.
The young lady at Customer Care was very nice and said that they should be able to correct the sales problem. My answer, if they don't know the TDI exists to be sold I doubt they would be able to fix it if needed. We wrote off that dealership completely.
However, I was satisfied with my experience at Customer Care.
Edit: My problem with VW is minor compared to what I am seeing here. We haven't ordered our VW yet. Hope everyone can get their problems straightened out.

This is what I went through. They stopped at two repair attempts. Georgia needs three to begin lemon law processing. I went to four service visits and contacted VWoA for two months. I finally just sued VWoA, and they listened.
^ Not legal advice, not barred in Texas.
General advice to all, contact your state lemon law office.
I now have a 2012 JSW TDI.

Did you actually sue Volkswagen? Or did some help from me avoid having to do that? I'll follow up myself with VWoA people I sent your information to, but I'm just curious.
For the rest of you guys having issues, let me try to help...
1. You need to have a case number on file with VWoA. If you don't have one (sounds like most of you do at this point) you'll need to call the 800 customer care line and get one on file.
2. Send me a detailed breakdown/history of what is going on with your car since you bought it. You'll need to include the number of trips to the dealer, name of dealer, if they tried to fix it or not and so on. The more info the better.
3. Include your contact info with a number and email that VW can reach you at (I won't share this with anyone but VWoA).
Send it to me at jamie at vwvortex.com and I'll forward your email to my contacts at VWoA. Let me know your user name in the forums so I know who I'm dealing with too.
I'm sorry to see people having problems with their Beetles. It has honestly been a long time since I've had to help people with these types of problems. I'll do what I can to get your problem in front of key people in customer service at the highest level and hopefully get some resolve to the issues.

In my particular case, I have had nothing but good experiences with VWOA.
I contacted them about the window issue, they offered me some monthy payments in exchange for having to deal with something that does not have a fix right now and the apologized several times.
Every time they told me I would hear from them within 24 hours, they kept their promise.
I do not really understand making a storm out of a glass of water. Judging a car by its failing window is like judging a book by its cover..... I really love this car, smooth drive, power, quietness, design, etc..
Sure there might be some lemons out there, but I do not think that all lemons belong to Volkswagen only....
Just my 2 cents
