DSG questions

Hey guys whats up. I got some questions I hope you can answer. I tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. So first up:

1. How much power can the longitudinal DSG handle?

2. Will it bolt directly to a 4.2 V8?

3. Can I run a standalone trans controller if I can find one?

If I have more questions I'll post them here.

Just trying to see if my upcoming project i'm designing on my computer will be possible with this trans. If not I'll just use a manual.

Depends which variant, but 500lb/ft should be ok.
2. Will it bolt directly to a 4.2 V8?
Only with an adapter plate.
3. Can I run a standalone trans controller if I can find one?
No

You may have issues keeping the FWD as the enginge may be sitting further into the bay.
