While ironic, I grew up "before" the true digital age, so I don't come pre-loaded with the idiosyncrasies of this generation

I hate texting, I hate Instagram, I prefer personal contact, I don't mind making phone calls (versus texting), etc. Today's generation seem to be more like social hermits that have grown up having mommy and daddy as "Yes Men" instead of actual parents.

I heard a report from my cousin, that her gf who works with younger people too, is unable to communicate sarcasm to them unless she holds up an 'lol' sign.

it's the over emphasized facial emotion generation.

I'm also a 'tweener' in that when I was born, 86, the digital age had JUST started, I remember number munchers and word munchers in 1st grade. but the internet was not fully around until i was about 12 with AOL. I feel it throws my generation, 82-88 into a very interesting mix of abilities.

I was born in 1980 and first started using computers in second grade. I too remember Word Munchers and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego

My first introduction to the internet was with a 2400 baud modem at the age of 14

dude the internet isn't the same thing as AOL.

It's nice that the manual is a no-charge option on this Buick. Does the auto have any fancy paddle shifting abilities?
Mustang ownership: cruising at 1500 RPM: oops time to upshift!

Did anybody here watch the Muppets Movie?

I took my girls and there is this one spot where the old, decrepit robot character is driving them around and they must make an emergency call, but nobody has a cell phone. The robot offers to call and he has this dial-up connection. It starts making that god-awful screeching and beeping sound that kids have no clue of today.

EVERY adult in the theatre was laughing their asses off while the kids were
