last year i bought a 02 beetle for my daughter for her first car. low miles and very sporty since its a turbo with standard transmission.
at first she didnt know how to drive it but learned quickly. after about driving it the bug started having some issues:

    - pasenger door not being able to open from the outside
    - trunk not opening from the outside or at all
    - now i have come to learn that the car has not been running and just died
    - the headlight is broken and was super glued on and now failing

what i need from this forum is a group of people that can come together to elaborate as to how we can get this vehicle back on the road.
i am currently stationed in Mo and the vehicle is out in sacramento california.
    please help
    thanks

as of right now i am trying to get her mother to chime in so she can have some type of clue as to what can be done. i dont think for one minute she has ever been on forums to problem solve.

any help would be appreciated and we plan to make some cool friends on here.

The door issue you're having could be as simple as the cable coming loose, or the locking mechanism itself is broken. You'll need to take the door apart to see exactly why. The trunk is probably a broken latch, and needs to be replaced. To troubleshoot the not running, or running bad issue, we'll need more information to assist you. And the headlight, what part is glued? Is it glued to be held in, or is the lens glued on?

Good luck, and we look forward to a response for assistance.
