No downpipe for the A3 Quattro cars yet, and our downpipes will pass a sniff test.

Will this mounting bracket fit the FSI?

Are you positive it passes CA smog? Do you have a certificate or sticker or something to put on the car to indicate as such? I've just heard stories where companies say it passes smog when it really doesn't.

Yep, that will work on FSI cars.

We sell quite a few downpipes to CA residents who haven't had any problems passing smog, but we are not officially CARB approved, so no sticker.

It won't pass smog as it'll fail visual since it doesn't have a CARB E.O. number.

Sniffer tests don't occur until your 6th year. A 6 year old HJS cat will not pass the sniffer test either. It'll register a high NOx reading.

Sniffer test goes away next year starting Jan 1st 2013 on cars MY2000 and above.

It'll be strictly OBDII scan + visual. I'd imagine that they're going to be more diligent about he visual test now that the sniffer is going away.

There has to be documentation for a replacement and there aren't any replacements for the A3 that have CARB approval.
