2nd Gear is getting a little tough

My 92 cabriolet has a TT short throw shifter with a weighted shift rod, this was put on about 4 or 5 months ago with new bushings, I also replaced 2 bad mounts, now it seems that my car is having a bit of trouble going into 2nd gear. I feel like im having to use alot more force to get it in to second than any other gear, sometimes when its cold the car will not want to go into second at all. Every other gear works smooth and perfect, i get no grinds or pop outs or anything like that and this only happens with second. Does this sound like something some redline mt90 might solve? or could the problem be elsewhere? What do you guys think?

so its grinding into second? or is it just really hard to get it into(find) 2nd?

There is no grind, its just tough, feels kinda like i have to force it in especially compared to the other gears which are smooth as butter.
