Getting ready to pickup my springs I was wondering in case i'm forgetting anything if anybody has or knows the cheapest place to pickup a set of pro-kit springs for the 2.0T fwd. I checked tire rack, but cheapest im finding is $246.47 shipped to my door ups. If someone has something that's cheaper or can help me out i'd appreciate it.

I found them cheaper several places using google search - but every place cheaper was out of stock until september. Also Eibach has a 10% rebate right now so that helps. I ended up going with Tire Rack as they are very reliable and have accurate real time inventory.

at this point i'm looking at H&R but I don't know much about them and to be honest im somewhat worried about blowing the stock struts if I used them.

I paid about $248 shipped from Amazon. It was the cheapest I could find at the time. But if Eibach is doing a 10% rebate, that would be a help. From what I've read, the Eibachs are your best bet for use with stock shocks.

I've been trying to buy the Eibach pro kit since June. They are on national back order until September. I purchased some preowned one in the vortex CC classifieds last week since I couldn't wait until then.

Snobrdrdan told me about autoplicity.com. Ordered them about 3 weeks ago, delivered in a few days, total to my house was $206. Have them on, love them. Ride nearly identical to stock and look great. Should be settled by now, dropped a little over an inch

Are you using the stock shocks? I just got a quote from a popular shop in my area stating that the shocks "will fail". They quoted Bilstein with labor (I provide the Eibachs) for $1200+.

Bah! I had my springs for nearly 10K miles with no problem before I went to coilovers, how many miles do you have on the car?

If they want to charge that much then buy a nice set of coilovers...

All shocks will wear out eventually. The best advice I heard was if you have less than 20k miles, the stock dampers should be fine. More miles and it might be worth changing them also if are hiring the work. For reference, I installed my rear eibachs in about 30 minutes and had the fronts installed for $130.

I have 30K on my car. I like the idea of just paying labor on the front springs as I hear those are a lot of fun to put in.
