    Vin question

    I have a CC R-Line and the other day i took it to carmax (out of curiosity to see how much it was worth) But when they ran my vin it came up as a sport. My question is that is it supposed to come up as a sport or a R-Line?

    They come up as "Sport" it is an sport with the body kit and upgraded wheels...

    I just got off the phone with VW they said with them its registered as a R-Line so i guess Car max was just trying to screw me over.

    They sent me a confirmation sheet saying that they confirm it is a R-Line but I guess that it comes out as a sport when they run the VIN anywhere else. Thanks for the help btw I appreciate it.

    My insurance company flagged it as a sport which I didn't mind since I'm assuming if they think it's a lower model it should help lower ins a bit.
