    Yep thats the one that was trashed so bad from this guy. It took me a while to make it run actually. I dont know if you had chance to check it out before I tow it away, but the engine was sitting on one motor mount only, the other ones were broken, had no idea how... It had bad fuel pump, bad csi, bad fuel pump relay, tranny wasnt shifting into 1st and 2nd,no brakes, most of the Zender kit was broken, there was just leftovers of it and bunch of other things...

    If you looked around, there is only one mk1 on ksl up for sale, that goes for $1900 and its not in the best condition. So I can say $2000, and from there we can talk.

    Hah and your saying yours is in great shape. Sorry but it's not. If this was a diesel it could pull good money. It a gas GTI. Oddly enough they pull bottom dollar for mk1s.

    Not saying the are worse than the Ds.. Just not worth as much. I've seen clean ORIGINAL 84s go for 1k.

    I just don`t know why you guys have to hate that much... maybe just because I beat you on it buying it? Did I say somewhere that the car is in perfect shape? Also I said whats been done on the car, since I bought it NOT running with bunch of other sh*t... Peoples were right saying that in this forum, there is just a group of people that wants everything to goes around them.. As long as I wanted to meet new VW guys, cuz I`m pretty new to Utah, that feeling just goes away...

    Just showing you why this isn't sold yet. It's a $1k car...

    And yes diesels bring more. My Jetta would fetch far more than this GTI.

    Don't post an absurd price in a forum and expect people to not give you **** for it. You got it for $800 because it's a $800 car.

    Hell it's worth more in parts sadly. As the zender stuff could be sold for $500

    A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, plain and simple. A grand for that car is a good price if its running right in my opinion but if you're asking 2000 than just post it in the national mk1 classifieds and wait. It may take a year but sooner or later someone will swoop it. Remember "there's an ass for every seat"
