Has anyone swapped out their steering wheels? What's needed?

Be more specifc; what exactly do you want to use.

Swapping to a better OEM wheel is pretty easy. You'll need the new wheel, possibly a new airbag (depends on what wheel you have currently), and the proper wiring harness; that's it.

If you want to add steering wheel multifunction buttons but don't have them you can do that as well, but may be more involved by a little bit.

Guiluford did it on his mkv, sounds like kind of a pain on a car with as much electronics tied to our wheels. I couldnt give up my airbag but for a show car, they look pretty cool!

Mike did you just put your MFD on the page you wanted and leave it there before you hooked the wheel up?

What happens when you rear end someone and need an airbag to stop your teeth from getting embedded into your steering wheel?

Sorry but removing the air bag is idiotic unless it is a DEDICATED TRACK CAR, which yours is not.

Not to mention the lack of MFD and BT controls. Plus there's the inevitable state inspection failure when you have to renew your tags.

When I saw Nardi steering wheel I thought of Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories. Who remeberes them? Probably only if you are over 40.

I can appreciate this mod but I never understand it on these Audi and VW's with nice steering wheels. Maybe if I drove a Corolla.
