Also, you can use these: http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performan...ductId=1287062

^ Those will fit over the factory plastic push connectors, but you have to really force them on and once they are on they will not come off. They are ment for a GM and are removable on those, but not on a VW/Audi push connector.
I am a noob, does anyone have a picture of these being used. I have no idea where to use them on my A4 so I can integrate braided line.

    Thanks

    Apologies for my noobness

to answer your question, those adapters go on the OEM lines right by the firewall. Take off the OEM lines at the right angle connector, snap these in, and now you have -6AN to do whatever you want with.
70+ fuel PSI, high temp under the hood, ease of use with the IE fuel rail, Aeromotive FPR, and the Cool Factor of course

may be due to salt in wisconsin but still....OEM stuff lasts life of car typically...

plus the darn hose acts like a sawzall on ANYTHING it touches...paint, coolant lines, silicone couplings, aluminum boost pipes, vacuum hose, etc....

Ok, I bought those exact fittings for my setup. Not matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get those fittings on the stock plastic piece. I didn't want to try too hard and break it.

And when I was first doing my build, I was advised from a fellow friend that braided lines are a pain in the ass and if he would have done it all over, he would have used push-loc hose.

I know you like the look of the braided line but it's just my opinion.

This was his braided line setup.

Scroll down about 7/8ths the way down, you'll see pictures of One-Eight-GTIs setup. He uses those fittings. No clue how he got it on without breaking it but apparently he did.

Funny thing about that Push-Loc hose, it says right in the initial paragraph to not use for brake fluid, fuel, nitrous, or power steering. Makes ya wonder why.

Yeah, does make you wonder. However, I have seen numerous people using them on vw/audi and other applications with no issues. Some have reported that after the cars sits for a little while, your bay will smell like fuel since it can leak through the hose. Haven't experienced that on mine. I've been going about 3 years strong with not a single problem.

wow thats my engine bay from 4 years ago

I still say that nylon braided is the only way go for moving fluid in the engine bay but you do need to check the rating of the hose being used. I do know that summit nylon braided is not rated for efi use, ask me how I know

Only reason to use stainless braided is for oil feed(high pressure) and oil return because of the heat from the turbo/manifold/dp.

Those plastic GM push fittings are a PITA, push them until you think the fitting is going to break, then push a little harder. lol.

Hopefully this helps, it would be the same setup for your B5 ....

My car is a B6 A4 (running a rising rate return system like a B5), and I set it up this way:

I dont like the plastic female push fittings much, so I chose to use a compression fitting off the fuel filter instead, this is where my feed line starts:

For the return line I used one of the expensive male fittings to the OE return line, you can see it behind the in focus fitting:

At this point both lines run the entire length of the car:

Using the OE mounting points into the bay

To stop them from eating through metal, paint, and each other I used a industrial grade heat shrink tube on any contact points:

I used black anno fittings found at Integrated Engineering:

Once in the bay the lines run to my IE Bosch 044 surge tank:

    And my fuelab FPR:

    Before FPR:

    With FPR mounted:

Beautiful IE fuel rail and lots of fittings to make this all work, small fortune in them:

(changed to a black IE fuel rail)

Yeah, but employee discounts are pretty sweet ^^^

You have a very, very nice setup though. I hope you don't just part the thing out after going this far though. You can always downsize the turbo if a 30r is too much of a dog in the pig B6 chassis.

I have no plans of parting it out, just keep building on it. Also, I have no problems driving the car with a 30R, a full IE stroker, built AEB head, cams, etc... and I hit full boost around 4100RPM and have plenty of off boost power. I have no problems getting up to speed, spooling, or moving out of boost whatsoever. The story was not true when I was running the same turbo before the stroker... it was a bit of work to get up to speed.

    media man himself

def need to go braided on my car soon..the old MKI metal lines are getting pinholes..did two fuel line repairs last week..last one before that was a little over a year ago.

just wish i could fit an IE fuel rail in my car..hood would smash it since it sits higher than the OEM.

What about switching to some short EV14 injectors? Overall height might work out to something that works.

not until i go 1000cc, which i will need to change to probably maestro for.

my 630's and uni have run awesome and made power for 4+ years. don't wanna change the fueling setup that way yet, but def need to get on the ball about fuel lines, surge tank, pump and fuel cell....ahh owning MKI's..never gets old.

How much room do you have over the rail right now? If our rail doesn't work, it's not likely any one will...
