2013 Jetta GLI Autobahn W/Nav is Coming 1st Week In September

I'm stoked, I have a VIN number and my Platinum 2013 GLI w/Nav is in transit from the factory!!!! So glad I got the 2013 instead of 2012, alot of new features...

I was thinking Passat, but the GLI got me.

I have to give a Big thanks to Kenny at Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Annapolis, MD for making this happen, he ROCKS!!!! They are great people there... It's going be like a 5 year old opening that big present on Christmas Day, when I go to pick her up.....

I'm 38 years old, have owned alot of new cars, but I have never been this excited.....

I also have a 2013 GLI autobahn w/nav coming the week of 9/10. I have seen a couple dealers in MA and RI that already have them in stock. I was hoping it would come sooner.

I'd like to know when you ordered as well. I only just ordered today and they're telling me approximately 12 weeks; I know they don't want to over-promise and under-deliver so hopefully it won't be that long.

I ordered in mid April. Originally ordered a 2012 in March of 2012 but when I found out it would not be in until July I changed it to a 2013 in late April.

The VW build your jetta has been updated with the 2013 models. Quite a few more pictures there as well. Not sure how accurate the interior photos are, but the climate system looks different than the 12s.

I ordered a GLI Autobahn w/ Nav at the end of June, just heard from the dealer that the car has been built as of the 7/23 batch and is just waiting for it to get on the truck. No delivery date yet, but should be soon

Also, checked with him to see if he could dig up the part# for the hybrid tail LEDs. No word yet, but my guess is the part isn't listed yet. Will let you know what I find out

I hope thats not the new climate control system.... If it is that looks so cheap!!! Thats the next thing we need the jetta's getting built with lower quality materials..

I am purposely waiting til '13 to get the GLI. If thats what im looking forward to I think I might have to rethink it.

The images appear to be taken from the German VW site and just ported into the USA VW site.... Maybe someone got lazy!

- clock on gauge cluster is shown as 24 hour
- radio preset displays are all in german
- no SAT button on left side of radio screen (only North American/USA cars have SAT capabilties)
- the speedometer reads in kilometers, not miles (note the 180 speed mark)

But, on the flip side, there are things that are American in nature:
- 70* are indicated in farenheit and not celcius
- passenger airbag indicator below hvac controls is spelled in english, along with the hvac buttons themselves

Also, if you check out Jay's blog on askavwsalesguy, he has posted photos of the '13 Tiguan auto-climate control setup and this is the same system that given to the GLI auto/nav package. And the real world images make this artificial looking setup from the VW site seem cheap. http://askavwsalesguy.com/blog/2012/...-the-ride.html

The "interior dash" view, while nice as it is, the photo itself seems too "glossy". And the black color contrast from the RCD-510 against the actual dashboard black itself is very apparent - but when you are sitting in a 2012 GLI car it is not the case and it blends fairly well. Looking back at the launch party pics with the red GLI photos, I think there is an overall difference between the GLI when photographed in "real-life" as opposed to a overly processed and highly editorialized image from the VWoA site.

I will keep my hopes up and fingers crossed that the interior reads better under normal/natural lighting, in person and with a real world environment..... Especially since my 2013 GLI auto/nav is to be delivered in 3 weeks!

I agree that the images aren't quite right but don't see any difference between those HVAC controls at all, except the seat warmer buttons

Mine had a 7/23 build date and I confirmed with my dealer in Maryland that it will be at the dealer via the port in DE 1st week of September...

I order on 7/27 but my dealer doesn't know much about delivery time except "60 days."

Mine is supposed to be in a 1 1/2 weeks, The one I ordered was not supposed to come in to the dealer until end of Sept but they found one at another dealer and they are doing a dealer trade for it.

I just got a VIN number from my dealer.. They told me the system says Intransit from Factory and next update is 8/20.... I ordered a 2013 CW GLI W/Nav in April and I feel it closer and closer!!!

Is there a way to track the car with a VIN number in hand????

My dealer only charged $200 in fees. Sales tax is hard capped at $300 max for a vehicle in SC. The other bit was registration and title fee.

Actually my dealer was just awesome, when I told him I wanted to buy a 2013 he pulled out his invoice book and gave me that price for the car and mats minus a $500 coupon
