Make sure it's tight. If not, bad drain ****.
Does this model have the drain built into the radiator or lower hose?

So...I replaced the coolant in my girls 2000 aeg beetle with G12 (someone put green stuff and mixed)did the flush before adding the G12. Now the issue is that after I try to close the drain on the driver's side it slowly leaks under pressure. when the engine is not running it holds...but not while at idle. Any ideas? Has anyone else come across this issue? Thanks!!

You can try to find and replace just the plug, but there is a possibility you might end up having to replace the radiator if it continues to leak then.
Some VW's have the drain in the lower hose and not the radiator.
