So I had new tires thrown in a week ago. Took her in for the alignment. They said everything is kosher. I was looking at the back of the cc today. It looks like the rear squats. Like the camber is out and makes the outside of the tires poke out. So the tires are riding on the inside of the tire a little bit. Is this VW spec. Anyone notice. I guess that's the way the VW rides. Any thoughts. TIA.

They should be pretty close to true on the stock setup. You can check by throwing a level on it or better yet download a bubble app and stick a piece of wood on two flush point on the time. Then use the app to see how many degrees it's off. A little camber is desirable. Mine are off a degree but I'm on eibachs however my squat is minor when you look at it.

I run-2.5° in my rear, but I'm real low on coils. All cars have negative camber in the rear stock to counter balance the car. My guess is vw set it at something like -.8 or so?

Ok. Thanks. I did check it. Passenger side was -1.9 and drivers side was -1.4. In the rear. Guess I'll take it back it.

That's excessive for OEM and out of spec on the 1.9 side.

It should be in the -1.2 range or something like that

And tell them you want the camber equal on both sides too in the rear

Didn't get a chance to take it in. It will be at home for the next 2 weeks. Wife and I are headed to the beach house for 2 weeks. We drive the Big car. I will take it in when I get back.

VW uses degrees, minutes & seconds for the alignment specs.

    so 1 degree, 20 minutes plus/minus 30 seconds = 1.33 degrees plus/minus .0083

1 degree, 45 minutes, plus/minus 30 seconds = 1.75 degrees (sport suspension... that should be on the CC)

all depends on the PR-G## number for the alignment specification
