i have a 07 GLI i have a small coolant leak from the coolant supply line going to the turbo.

im not sure if it is the feeder or return line but VW is saying it is going to be a $300 job for the return and up to $700 for the feeder line.

Has anyone replaced these parts? if so where did you get the lines (i cant find any) and how hard of a job was it. or is it worth it to just have VW do and spent the extra cash?

Haven't had to replace these myself, seems the hard part would be getting to it. I'd use a lift if available for ease, and wear safety glasses because there will be fluid coming from whatever is unhooked being one of the lowest points on the vehicle. Its up to what your technical ability dictates, jack it up, look at it and go from there. Good luck either way!

I replaced my turbo a couple of weeks ago and it really wasn't that difficult to access these if you don't mind working on your back. Some extensions and the right tools (triple square, torx style bits) and you should be able to get it.

Check out the turbo removal section here. It's what I used as a guide and was awesome. You will see exactly what has to be removed to access the lines.

Let us know how it goes if you try it yourself.
