Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can help me. My serpentine belt snapped the other day while driving. I picked up a new belt today, but for the life of me can't figure out how to loosen the belt tensioner. I would appreciate any advice with picture if possible.
Thanks

These belt tensioners are typically spring-loaded. There should be a hole on the tensioner, where you can insert a 1/2 inch square socket-drive, or an allen key, which is used to rotate the tensioner against the spring, so you can slip the belt on, and then slowly release the spring tension against the new belt.

Should be a 16 mm wrench turning it clockwise when looking at the engine in front of you.
