Met up with an old friend with a 1992 16v GTI that needed some detailing love! Always up for a good challenge! Took about 4 hours total to tackle the outside. Buffed twice and hand glazed twice. All original paint and not much of it so I had to be real careful like!! Enjoy! crit & comments welcome!

That is some awesome work! What product/pads did you use? I have a good friend with a silver mk2 and I've been itching to take a swing at buffing it for him.

    Thanks for the comments!

The plastics were done with silicone tire dressing. Unfortunately that was just a cover up since they were so bad, they'll probably fade back but looked really good all done. They needed something a little more but my main concern was the paint.

Buffed the paint twice with a yellow wool pad and a little mix of a 3M mild compound product and some liquid cleaner/wax. Done by hand twice after that with just the cleaner/wax. Lots of rubbing! End result is worth it tho.

Thanks guys. It was def a flash from the past. The car was actually an old neighbor's car that was bought by a kid I know. Kinda cool it came back to me to be detailed, I remember when the car was brand new.
